Selected project experience

Useful work.
Across the whole experience.

From customer-facing websites to the tools behind them, these examples show the problems we have helped solve. River People is our own product; other project names are withheld for privacy.

01

Mobile app & ongoing development

River People

A whitewater app built around river discovery, available gauge conditions, GPS run recording, and paddling crews. Development connects the app, its supporting services, and public product and support pages.

The work
Maps and search, GPS recording, crews and events, mobile release work, and continued improvements.
What it demonstrates
Building a product and continuing to support it after launch.

02

Website improvements & ongoing care

Online marketplace

Improved the everyday details of an established marketplace: product-photo browsing, catalog filtering, account recovery, and safer image replacement. Releases preserved existing uploads and data and included checks of customer-facing flows.

The work
Feature improvements, defect repairs, release verification, and maintenance.
What it demonstrates
Supporting an established website while making its important interactions work better.
03

Business workflow automation

Publishing & submissions

Connected online submissions, private document storage, status tracking, notifications, and publishing tools. The work also covered checking migrated content and links, structured editing tools, draft safeguards, and documentation.

The work
Migration verification, editorial tools, submission integrations, notification repairs, and workflow documentation.
What it demonstrates
Connecting a website to the administrative work behind it and checking the whole process.
  1. Submission
  2. Staff review
  3. Publication

This is an example of workflow automation, with people responsible for review and publication.

04

Website maintenance & technical updates

A familiar website,
brought forward.

Modernized an established website’s underlying software while preserving its familiar appearance, content, and core functions. Checks covered important public pages, forms, payment links, and administrative editing. Deployment and recovery steps were documented.

The work
Compatibility work, runtime modernization, regression checks, and maintenance documentation.
What it demonstrates
Improving maintainability when a visual redesign is not needed.
05

Interactive web tools

Making complex pages
easier to use.

Investigated mobile performance and calculation-page layouts for a data-heavy website. Changes narrowed unnecessary page updates and prepared layouts earlier to reduce movement while loading. The revised implementation was checked in local browser and performance tests.

The work
Performance investigation, targeted interface changes, responsive layout work, and release preparation.
What it demonstrates
Tracing a specific usability problem and checking the implementation through repeatable tests.
